Cattleya Roque Sevilla (Cattleya Dominiana coerulea x Cattleya maxima coerulea 'Gigi' x 'Angelo') is an exceptional hybrid orchid that combines the rare coerulea forms of both parent species. This distinguished cross represents the pinnacle of blue-toned Cattleya breeding.
- Light: Provide bright, indirect light with some morning sun. East or west-facing windows with filtered light work well. Avoid harsh midday sunlight.
- Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) during the day with a slight nighttime drop of 3-5°C (5-10°F) to encourage blooming.
- Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity levels of 50-70%. Use humidity trays, room humidifiers, or group with other orchids to maintain adequate moisture.
- Watering: Keep consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the growing medium begins to dry slightly. Use lukewarm, filtered water and ensure excellent drainage.
Additional Notes:
The historic 1859 Dominiana lineage combined with maxima coerulea genetics creates flowers with rare blue-purple tones, making this hybrid exceptionally valuable among collectors seeking unique color forms.
